The Kaufman County Livestock Show was a great success for the Kemp FFA chapter. The winning continued in the Agriculture Mechanics contest. Anthony Hernandez received a blue ribbon in his class with a Shop table and then won Division champion. In the cooking division, Ty Roberts received a blue ribbon for his Santa Maria Grill and Trevor Atkinson also received a blue ribbon for his Cowboy Cooker. Shelby Currie received a Blue ribbon for her BBQ Smoker trailer and won Grand Champion of the Kaufman County Show. Tyler Gilbert received a blue ribbon for his hand-forged knife and Division Champion. Bowen Dalrymple and Eli Tackett received a blue ribbon for their firewood rack. Trent Thompson brought his handmade spurs to the show receiving a blue ribbon. Cross Gorden received a blue ribbon with his mud anchors. Brody Becker received blue with his portable dog kennel. The team of Vincent Conklin, Brandon Putnam, and Tyler Gilbert received a blue ribbon for their Deer Feeder. Hunter Springer brought his rebuilt golf cart to the show bringing home a blue ribbon and Division Champion. The Kemp FFA Ag Mechanics team brought home the Sweepstakes Award for the show by out placing any other chapter with wins in the Kaufman County Area. Our market swine showed by Haley Barnett, Jesse Rodgers and Taylor Carr also all made the auction which helped continue the success of the chapter. Please congratulate these students if you get the chance. The Rabbit show team leaves for Houston on Saturday hoping to bring home some more wins.
