FFA Students attend 92nd Annual National FFA Convention in Indianapolis
Every year, FFA members nationwide converge on the National FFA Convention & Expo to celebrate their accomplishments and find inspiration for their next steps. Motivational keynote speakers, energetic concerts, fulfilling workshops and a sweeping Expo floor bustling with agricultural education and industry opportunities will have you snapping pics and grabbing videos of all of the experiences you’ll remember forever. Here are some pictures from their trip.

Special Olympics Bowling
Last week on November 1, 2019, our life skills class and aides went to the bowling alley in Seven Points to compete in the Special Olympics bowling contest. All of our students had a very fun time of healthy competition, camaraderie, as well as a costume contest and food.

Dalton Blankenship also came home with a first-place medal in his division.

KHS Cheer

Kemp High School Varsity Cheerleaders earned an invitation to attend and perform at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida on New Year's Day!  They had a little over six weeks to raise $20,000.  They put on a Powder Puff football game and earned over $5,000.  They did several miscellaneous fundraisers and drawings and raised more.  Their big fundraiser was working the NHRA Nationals in Ennis at the Racetrack for money and tips.  These girls worked hard making burgers, fries, hot dogs, Frito chili pies, etc.  They also got out and walked the stands asking for donations.  We were fortunate enough to raise over $9,300 in three days!  Their trip is now paid in full and they are beyond excited to attend!  This absolutely would not have been possible without the help of Superintendent, Lisa Gonzales, Mr. Jim Lamb, Angie Ellis, all cheer parents, and many many others!  We thank and love you all!

KHS Robotics Club

Kemp high school robotics club competed at Brookhaven College on October 19 in BEST robotics. They won 15th place.
